Don't confuse symbols with what they stand for.

That doesn't mean you have to destroy every symbol you come across. It doesn't mean you can't use symbols. Just don't confuse it for the thing it stands for.

That doesn't mean you have to be offended by the use of symbols by others. The behavior of others is between them and me. Worry about your own behavior. Don't give unwarranted power to symbols even by being offended by them.
